These Terms govern your use of the Orlo iOS app and related services. By creating an account or using Orlo, you agree to them. Contact: support@heyorlo.com.
What Orlo does
Orlo records your voice, transcribes it, and uses automated tools to shape it into written entries, highlights, tags, and longer stories. Orlo is a creative and organizational tool, not a publisher, therapist, doctor, lawyer, financial adviser, or emergency service.
Your account
You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to your Apple or Google sign-in secure. You must be at least 13 years old to use Orlo. Do not use the service if local law prevents you from entering this agreement.
Your content
You keep ownership of the recordings, transcripts, entries, and other content you provide. You give Orlo a limited permission to host, process, transform, and display that content only as needed to operate and improve the service for you.
You may not upload content you do not have the right to use or use Orlo to violate another person's privacy, intellectual-property rights, or the law. You are responsible for deciding whether recording another person is lawful where you are.
Automated output
Orlo uses automated transcription and generative systems. Output can contain mistakes, omit context, or phrase something differently than you intended. Review anything important before relying on, publishing, or sharing it. Orlo should not invent facts, but automated systems are not perfect.
Subscriptions
Orlo offers monthly and annual auto-renewing subscriptions through Apple's App Store. The price and billing period shown in the Apple purchase sheet control. Payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm.
Your subscription renews automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the current period ends. Apple may charge the renewal within 24 hours before the period ends. Manage or cancel in your App Store account settings. Deleting the Orlo app or account does not itself cancel an Apple subscription.
If a free trial or introductory offer is provided, unused time may be forfeited when you purchase a subscription, where permitted. Refunds are handled by Apple under its policies. Restore Purchase can reconnect an eligible active purchase.
Availability and changes
We may update Orlo, add or remove features, or temporarily interrupt service for maintenance, security, provider outages, or capacity limits. We work to preserve your data and make processing reliable, but uninterrupted service is not guaranteed.
Privacy and deletion
Our Privacy Policy explains collection, processing, retention, and deletion. You can permanently delete your Orlo account in Settings. Account deletion cannot be undone and does not cancel an Apple subscription.
Acceptable use
Do not interfere with the service, bypass limits or purchase controls, probe security, automate abusive traffic, reverse engineer protected parts of the service, or use Orlo to create illegal or deliberately harmful content.
Suspension or termination
We may suspend or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect users or the service, respond to legal requirements, or address a serious breach of these Terms. You may stop using Orlo at any time and may delete your account in the app.
Disclaimers and liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Orlo is provided "as is" and "as available." We disclaim implied warranties that may legally be disclaimed. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, loss of profits, or loss arising from content you chose to publish or rely on. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Governing terms
Apple is not responsible for providing maintenance or support for Orlo. These Terms are between you and the developer, not Apple, though Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries for purposes of enforcing terms related to your licensed use of the app.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be dated above and, when appropriate, communicated in the app. Continuing to use Orlo after a change takes effect means you accept the updated Terms.
